Jessica Lucas,
Co-Owner, Intown Pilates Atlanta
For nearly a decade, Jessica has been teaching Pilates in & around Metro Atlanta, and now
the very proud NEW Co-Owner of Intown Pilates Atlanta at Amsterdam Walk.
Pilates has always been a fundamental part of Jessica's active lifestyle.
She began practicing Pilates initially as a compliment to her dance training and conventional fitness program.
In 2001, she completed the year-long teacher training and apprenticeship program with Katy Roelle of ReFormation Pilates.
Jessica believes once a student, always a student and is committed to keeping her knowledge fresh and up-to-date with continuing education workshops & seminars, such as Pilates & Pregnancy.
She continues to take classes and lessons wherever her travels take her, such as The Ellie Herman Studio in Oakland, CA, studios throughout Los Angeles and her home state of Hawai'i.
With a BS Ed in SportsMedicine and years of working in physical therapy clinics, including orthopedic and spinal cord injury rehab settings, Jessica brings a keen eye for body and bio mechanics to her classes and clients. Her teaching style is a creative balance of the Classical Method combined with a contemporary, pragmatic approach to fitness and wellness.
Jessica is thrilled to launch Pilates for a Purpose, an 8 week Mat & Apparatus program for Breast Cancer Survivors, as well as those SurvivING & THRIVING (like herself), to address & focus on increasing fitness and function that is often lost or compromised as the result of BC treatment. This program is a very personal & passionate endeavor for Jessica and she looks forward to sharing all the great benefits of Pilates, including improved physical fitness in a nurturing, supportive, FUN environment. |

Peter J. Poulos,
Co-Owner, Intown Pilates Atlanta
For over 10 years, Peter has been a strong force in redefining the parameters of Pilates. He began his training and has continued to teach throughout the greater Atlanta area, and is now the Co-Owner of Intown Pilates Atlanta, a studio where the approach to classical Pilates is contemporary.
Peter has managed successful Pilates programs and created cutting edge classes throughout various Atlanta gyms and was voted BEST PILATES INSTRUCTOR of Atlanta by Creative Loafing Magazine’s Best of Atlanta 2007.
As a professional dancer and personal trainer, Peter was attracted to the discipline and commitment of the Pilates program. He began his training and year-long apprenticeship at the Pilates Studio of Atlanta, where he was introduced to some of the leading Pilates instructors in the country. Peter’s Pilates experience extends outside of Atlanta, where he finds quality Pilates training while traveling.
He is proficient at all Pilates based apparatus, and is considered an expert in his field. Peter’s style of teaching is rooted in the traditional Pilates method, although he has developed his own personal, more approachable version of instruction. Peter’s focus is on the individual – their fitness goals, their specific needs and their overall experience. Each student then becomes HIS teacher as he continues learning and growing.
Peter believes that with hard work comes great restuls! Pilates is a WORKOUT!
You will work hard, but the benefits are worth it. He expects each client to come prepared to learn about their body, to reshape their perspective, and to feel GOOD about themselves.
The evolution of Pilates is here with Peter at Intown Pilates Atlanta! |
